The Inevitable Day Has Come: My Puppy Pilot Suitcase Has Broken 😭

It was bound to happen eventually, but I was not emotionally prepared. My adorable Puppy Pilot suitcase—the one that’s rolled through airports, ski trips, and international adventures—has officially broken. One of the wheels has split, turning my smooth airport glides into a frustrating shuffle.

This suitcase isn’t just practical; it’s a conversation starter. I know it’s cute when flight attendants stop to compliment it. It’s brought me and so many other airport travelers so much joy (and more than a few free smiles), so I’m really hoping a repair is possible. If anyone has suitcase wheel fix tips, send them my way—let’s manifest a Puppy Pilot comeback!

✈️ It’s always an adventure when traveling—especially with tight connections! I really need to get in better shape for all the airport running I do. 🏃‍♀️💨

Today, upon landing in Seoul, an Asiana Airlines agent was waiting for me and one other passenger. She wasted no time, motioning for us to run to our next gate. Just as I thought we were in the clear, we were passed off to another agent who kept saying, “No time! No time!” 😅

Nothing like a little cardio sprint through an international terminal to keep things exciting! Who needs a treadmill when you’ve got airport transfers?

After my annual Galentine’s party—where I may have had one too many glasses of wine—I had to pack my ski bag because there was no way I was passing up @jsookiki and @jellenbogen’s generous offer to take it to Sapporo for me.

Work has been insanely busy, so I couldn’t take extra time off. Now, I’m playing a little ‘Catch Me If You Can’ with this wacky travel plan to meet them as soon as possible. I wasn’t going to cancel Galentines because it’s my favorite time to reunite with friends after the holidays,

What are the odds that I was seated next to the same friendly/talkative person before and after boarding? ✈️ Solo Travel Misadventures: Japan Edition 🇯🇵

When work wouldn’t give me as much time off as my friends, I hacked together a flight path that could only be described as chaotic genius (emphasis on chaotic). SFO ➡️ LAX (oops, I booked LA to SF instead 😭) ➡️ HND ➡️ CTS, with hotels at LAX and HND to expedite the madness.

Found out about my booking mistake on the way to the airport around 10PM. I wasn’t about to drop $$$$ for a new ticket. Instead, I begrudgingly burned 45,000 miles for the delayed 10:45 PM flight (which will take off past midnight). For reference, Justin got an insane deal for his flight; a RT flight to Japan for that many miles 😣

Between working nights and weekends for the past month and this entirely avoidable mistake, the exhaustion finally caught up to me in the form of airport tears 😢 I guess I need my sidekick @jsookiki to keep me sane.
