The Blue Eye: Albania's Deep Spring
Heyyy, it’s me, Beseeingtheworldyo! Still live from Albania, and I just got back from an incredible trip to one of its absolute highlights: the Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër)!
Imagine this: a deep, natural spring, so mysterious that its bottom has yet to be found – they’ve explored depths of over 40 meters (that’s about 130 feet!). The water here is strikingly cold, bubbling up from the earth and forming a mesmerizing pool that truly lives up to its name with its vibrant blue hues.

We’re staying in Sarandë, and the Blue Eye was just a quick, easy drive from there, making it a perfect day trip. While we’ve been fortunate enough to see many natural water wonders around the world, there’s something uniquely captivating about this Albanian gem.

And guess what? We brought El Drone along for this adventure, and seriously, Albania has provided some of the most perfect flying conditions. We managed to capture some seriously sick shots of the Blue Eye from above, giving us a whole new perspective on its beauty!

If you’re ever in Albania, the Blue Eye is definitely worth a visit. It’s a true natural wonder that’s both beautiful and a little bit mysterious.
Well, that wraps up our visit to the breathtaking Blue Eye! This natural spring was truly unforgettable. Thanks for joining me on this Albanian leg of the journey! Next up? You’ll have to wait and see 😉 Catch you on the next adventure, World Yo Fam! You know I’ll Be Seeing You around!
